Family history blog focusing on genealogy and artifacts for several surnames, including: Ackerman, Brooks, Cabot, Haskell, Holbrook, MacKenzie, Merrill and others. My interest was sparked by my grandmother's research and collection of artifacts that were stashed away in an old slant top desk that is now at my Dad's house.
I hope to hear more about this trip! It's great that you have a photo of the same train station taken at the same angle. Priceless!
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on more posts. We were able to get quite a few photos of "new versus old". Pretty neat to see a lot of the same things my grandfather saw back in 1919. We met with the authors who published the book and they took us around to many of the locations that my grandfather photographed. Thanks for the comment.
ReplyDeleteWill, I should have read the first, because my comment is now the same as what I put on your second posting. Beautiful train station.
