Family history blog focusing on genealogy and artifacts for several surnames, including: Ackerman, Brooks, Cabot, Haskell, Holbrook, MacKenzie, Merrill and others. My interest was sparked by my grandmother's research and collection of artifacts that were stashed away in an old slant top desk that is now at my Dad's house.
We will probably never know for sure, but have always assumed that Danger is the small dog. The family had another Great Dane that was called Pedro and we have a note about him that he was "one of the larges Great Danes in the country. 3' 9" in height, 7-1/2' from toe to toe, 185 lbs weight"
Great photo! I love that it is over 100 years old and we still find it humorous and sentimental!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat photo- I'd love to know which one is Danger?
