Amos Haskell

Amos Haskell was b.26 Mar 1787 to Eliphalet and Mary (Woodman) Haskell in New Gloucester, Cumberland County, Maine (Source: New Gloucester Vital Records).  He m. 20 Jul 1810, Sarah "Sally" Johnson (Source: New Gloucester Vital Records), daughter of David and Jenny (Whitney) Johnson. Amos d. 22 Mar 1859 at age 72. 

 In the 1850 US Federal Census Agricultural Schedule in New Gloucester (viewed on on 26 May 2010) Amos is noted to have the following:

Acres - improved: 170 acres
Acres - unimproved: 46 acres
Cash value: 3000
Value of farm implements: 100
Horses: 1
Asses & Mules: [blank]
Milch Cows: 4
Working Oxen: 4
Other cattle: 6
Sheep: [blank]
Value of livestock: 410
Wheat: [blank]
Rye: [blank]
Indian corn: 70 bushels
Oats: 40 bushels
Rice: [blank]
Tobacco: [blank]
